FOUR STEPS: Global Maximum Exposure & Fan Base

We build fan base, gain exposure, develop local and worldwide markets for the music industry and businesses.

Building fan base and pushing a brand, product, music, videos, events via social networking generates internet buzz. The number of fans/followers an artist or business has and what they are saying about you can be easily accessed in a search result and is tangible.

Many booking agents, promoters, venues, labels, managers, sponsors or potential consumers check out how many followers a business/artist has and internet buzz before investing time and resources or becoming a consumer/fan.

Therefore, the priority for an artist or business networking on social media should be to gain exposure by using it to build fan base and drive traffic to all their profiles and web pages.

MAX 2.0 offers four low cost steps for building fan base to increase music sales and bookings for artists and customer base for businesses:

We expand fan base in existing markets and/or develop fan base in new markets creating enough fan base in cities worldwide for artists to For businesses we target and develop markets ranging in size from one city block to worldwide.

Intent on covering all areas of the DJ realm with my entries in, "The Break-Down On The Get-Down," series I wanted to keep the groove going with a contribution from Producer/DJ, Rob Swift.

My good friend, LISAMAX, of LISAMAX EVENTS, was contacted by the DJ after he read our 2 entries "Beware Shady Promoters" and "DJs & Artists: Tips In Avoiding the Shady Booking." and asked if he could contribute to our cause of the DJ.

No newcomer to the music industry, Rob's been neck-deep in the art since he was12 yrs. old.  He got his start standing on the sidelines watching his Dad DJ at parties, while his older brother took him under his wing and showed him the ropes. He pursued his love for music and joined the ground-breaking turntablist crew, The X-Men (aka X-ecutioners), in 1991.

Fast-forward 19 years later, add numerous jaunts as a "world-touring DJ", then add "lecture-circuit" to speak on said craft, and your tally brings the grand creation to his newest release, "The Architect," on Ipecac Recordins.

A walking encyclopedia of his craft, Rob is a master Turntablist and music purist who is too willing to spread the word on the art of DJing.

Friends, if you know of anyone who's thinking of pursuing their dreams of being a DJ, I highly recommend this read.  Though Rob does focus mainly on Turntablism in this write-up, I think that no matter what genre of music you choose to beat out, you'll find this contribution from Rob Swift sure-fire!

TIPS: DJ and Artists Avoid The Shady Booking

So in the last entry titled, "Beware Shady Promoters", we discussed shady dealings of [some] Promoters in the scene (whether they've come, gone or are still lurking). I just want it understood that I salute all the Promoters out there who are holding it down, and doing it proper.

In the end we all have a common goal: Wreck shop and make some dancers move!

Contributing to our next piece on the subject is, Lisa Maxfield (aka Lisamax), owner of LISAMAX EVENTS | MAX 2.0. Running one of  most respected Promotions and Social Media Strategies/Optimization companies in the industry, Lisa has watched the quality of events go up and down. With years of experience in dealing one on one with promoters, venue owners, and the artists themselves, Lisa is offering some sound advice on the subject.
